Alasdair Iain

Alexander (1824-1900) was the son of John Macleod and Christina Macphail. Both of his parents had links to Melbost Tack.  By 1833 the family were settled at 14 Old Back.

He married Catherine Morrison of 29 Old Back. In 1858 the family obtained 60 Back, as a newly lotted croft.  Alexander and Catherine had five children.
