Alasdair Alasdair
Alexander (1781-1845) was the son of Alexander Macdonald of Coll Tacks.
In 1807 he obtained 14 Old Coll as a newly lotted croft.
He married Catherine Macritchie, of Stornoway, and the couple settled at 14 Old Coll and had seven children: six boys and a giel.
After his death his widow split the croft retaining 14a Old Coll. In 1851, during the croft relottings, the family obtained 44/45 Coll.
