Norman (1813-1874) was the son of Donald Macleod and Christina Macrae of 21 Old Coll.

Norman married Catherine Macrae of 10 Old Back. Norman and Catherine settled at 21 Old Coll and they  four of their eight children. In 1851, during the croft re-lottying, the family obtained 42 Coll.
