Effie Macleod (1838-1917) was a daughter of Donald and Christina Macleod, 7 North Shawbost.

In Carloway, in 1860, she married Angus Martin, 21 Crossbost. Effie and Angus lived with Angus’s parents at 21 Crossbost and later settled at 18 North Shawbost. The couple had nine children.
