Malcolm (born 1822) was the son of Murdo Macdonald and Catherine Ferguson, 3 North Shawbost.
At Barvas, in 1848, he married Mary Campbell, 10-11 North Bragar. The couple lived at 41 North Bragar and they had six children. Malcolm exchanged crofts with Malcolm Montgomery, 36 North Bragar and in the 1870s the family moved to Glasgow.
