John (1873-1953) was a son of Alexander Kennedy and Margaret Fraser, Rhives Cottage, Avoch, Ross and Cromarty.
In Cumbernauld, in 1900, he married Mary Broadford Finlay from Cumbernauld. The couple settled in Cumbernauld and they had five children.
