Janet (1775-1836) was a a daughter of Donald Macleod and Janet Urqhuhart, Her father was the Tacksman of Balallan. Janet was born in The Parish Resolis, Ross-shire.

In 1794 she married widower, Sir Archibald Grant of Monymusk. The couple had no children. Janet was widowed in 1796 and she died in Broadstairs, Isle of Thanet, Kent.
