13406: Mary Maclellan

Mary  (1800-1883) was the daughter of Duncan Maclellan and Catherine Macleod, Isle of Ensay, Harris. Her mother died and it is thought Mary lived with her paternal grandparents at Uidh, Taransay.

In 1820 Mary married John Macdonald who had the tack at Paible, Taransay. The couple settled at Paible and they had ten children. Mary inherited the tack at Uidh and the two farms were combined.

Mary was widowed in 1864.
