Neil (1900-1981) was a son of Donald Macleod and Gormelia Macleod, 2 Kershader.
In Glasgow, in 1935, he married Isabella Smith, The Post Office, Seaview, Keose. Neil and Isabella lived at Seaside Cottage, Keose Glebe and in 1939 moved to 1b Keose. Neil and Isabella had a son, Niall in 1940.
Neil was a carpenter by trade and spent some years in Pretoria, South Africa before the Second World War. He was a ship's carpenter aboard the City of Christchurch. He was a woodcraft teacher in Lews Castle College until he retired in 1971.
Neil was widowed in 1980.
