Donald (1833-1904), son of John Mackay and Catherine Macleod, 1 Kirvick, Carloway was the husband of Marion Smith, 6 Keose. They settled at 6 Holm, Stornoway and had six sons: Donald (1868), Murdo (1869), John (1872), Norman (1875), Malcolm (1877), Hector (1880), Roderick (1885) and John (1887).
