Peter (1886-1969) was a son of Angus Macritchie and Catherine Macaulay, 7 Aird, Uig. The family moved to 4 Aird.
At Uig, in 1917, he married Christina Macaulay, 7 Islivig. Peter and Christina lived at 4 Ardoil and they had a son and two daughters.
Peter was a tailor by trade, he owned a shop and ran an Uig Bus service from Ardroil to Stornoway in the 1920s. He was granted a Licence in 1931.
During the half day closing in Stornoway on Wednesdays Peter drove his Grocery Van around the local district.
