1849: Catherine Macleod

Catriona Dhomhnaill Maidseir

Catherine (1823-1915) was the daughter of Donald Macleod and Effie Macleod, 20 Tolsta Chaolais.  She was living in Scapraid at the time of her marriage, in 1850, to Donald Martin from 8 Doune Carloway. The couple are mentioned in the 1851 as living  at 8 Doune Carloway; they had at least five children.

Donald Martin inherited the croft at 21 Tolsta Chaolais from his father-in-law Donald Macleod and resided there with a family of six.
