Donald (1884-1965) son of Donald Maciver and Ann Macdonald, 13b Laxay. He was a pupil teacher at Knockiandue School.
Donald served as a Company Sergeant Major with the Seaforth Highlanders during the First World War. He was awarded the Military Medal for bravery in taking command when all the officers of his Battalion had been killed. He was wounded in the leg but made a recovery.
At Ardersier, in 1916, he married Mary Macintosh Finlayson, 3 Glebe Terrace, Inverness. Donald and Mary lived at Kinbuck, Dunblane.
