Donald (1865-1907) was a son of William Macdonald and Marion Macleod, 5 Kershader. He was initially a shoemaker and left Kershader between 1881 and 1891and lived in Anderston, Glasgow. He became a fireman.
At New Kilpatrick Church, Bearsden, in 1895, he married Annie Jane Gibson from Bearsden. Donald and Annie Jane lived in Glasgow and they had three children, George, John Gibson and Marion.
The couple are buried in the churchyard of New Kilpatrick Church, Bearsden.
