Mary (1829-1917) was the daughter of Donald Macleod and Margaret Macleod, Erista. The family later moved to 39 Cliff.
At Uig, in 1857, she married Angus Smith, 29 Valtos. Mary and Angus had a half share of 29 Valtos and they had nine children. The family later obtained a one third share of 1 Valtos.
Mary's brother, John Macleod also owned a half share in 29 Valtos.
