John, son of ‘Iain Mhurchaidh’ from Erista was married to Isabella nee Macleod and lived at 11 Valtos (the first recorded tenant of 11 Valtos was Donald, son of John, but as the house was known as ‘Tigh Iain Oig’ we assume that this was John’s marital home).

John was drowned near an t-Seana Bheinn (an island off Bernera) in middle age.
