Donald (c1829-1908) was the youngest son of Donald Macdonald and Christina Macarthur, 8 Old Doune Carloway. The village was cleared in 1853 and the family moved to 10 Kneep.
According to local tradition this family had originally been cleared from Hacklete. Donald assumed tenancy of the croft at 10 Kneep.
He married Catherine Morrison from 14 Kneep. Donald and Catherine lived at 10 Kneep and they had at least five children.
