Donald (1853-1928) was a son of Donald Maclennan and Christina Mackay, 1 Kneep. He assumed tenancy of the croft.
In Uig, in 1886, he married Henrietta Morrison, Valtos. Donald and Henrietta raised six children and it is believed that they also had a daughter, Mary.
The family constructed a series of wells by the track on the shortcut to the Post Office and Church, from Kneep to Miavaig.
