Donald (born 1862) was the youngest child of John Maciver and Mary Macaulay. After returning from Canada his family lived in Valtos before settling at 7 Kneep.

At Stornoway, in 1910, he married Hannah Maclean from 26 Valtos. Donald assumed tenancy and lived at 7 Kneep there with his wife, Hannah.
