Iain Mhurchaidh
John (1797-1878) was a son of Murdo Smith and Unknown Mackenzie. He was the tacksman at Garynahine Farm.
He married Christina Maclean and they lived at Garynahine Farm. John and Christina had eight children and in 1853 the family moved to Doune Farm.
In 1873 the family moved to Stornoway.
