She married the Rev Duncan Macleod, 1 Knock Carloway. The couple latterly  lived at Tarbert in Harris

Catherine was widowed in 1951 moved to 7 Pentland Drive, Carloway. She spent her final years at Dun Berisay, Stornoway.
