92966: Malcolm Macdonald

Malcolm (1902-1991) was the son of Roderick Macdonald, of 7 Manish. He became a missionary and served in Skye, Lochalsh and Lewis.

Malcolm married Christina Mackay, of 42 North Tolsta, and the couple settled at 42 North Tolsta.

In due course 42 North Tolsta passed to Malcolm’s wife, from his in-laws: Murdo Mackay and Catherine Graham.

The couple had no children. They spent their final years together in Dun Berisay Care Home, and after Christina’s death, he went to live with her nephew and family in Upper Coll, from where he was buried.

In due course 42 North Tolsta passed to the son of their neighbour, at 43a North Tolsta, and the crofthouse at 42 North Tolsta was demolished.
