93212: Catherine Macdonald

Catherine (1834-1910) was the daughter of John Macdonald and Hannah Maciver; it is not clear where the family were living at the time of her birth. Her maternal grandparents lived at 6 Old Coll and her father had previously lived in Lower Shader.

In 1837 the family settled at the newly lotted 35 Old Coll.

In 1851 the family moved to 27 Coll.

Catherine married Donald Maclennan, of Lemreway, 4 Glen Tolsta and possibly 49 North Tolsta, and the couple settled as cottars at 27 Coll. They had their first six children there.

In 1875 the family obtained 67 Coll as a newly lotted croft. Their final child was born there.
