95408: Kenneth Macleod
Kenneth (1836-1917) was the son of George Macleod and Mary Murray; the family were boundary shepherds at 3 Old Glen Tolsta.
In 1842 Old Glen Tolsta was cleared and the family obtained 31 Old South Tolsta. Kenneth’s father died around 1845.
In 1850 the family moved to 17 Tong and in due course this passed to Kenneth.
Kenneth married Isabella Mackenzie of 7 Aird Tong. The couple had a daughter in 1907, the information we have is incomplete so it is possible there were more children.
Kenneth sold 17 Tong to James Thomson of 15 Tong in 1908. It is not certain what happened to Kenneth after this point.
