Iain Thormoid
John (1812-1884) was the son of Norman Maciver and Ann Mackay, 45 Old Lower Barvas.
In 1844 he married Flora Maciver of Nether Barvs. John and Flora lived at 45 Old Lower Barvas where they had five children. In the 1867 re-lotting the family obtained 50 Lower Barvas.
John was widowed in 1879. The couple are buried in Barvas.
