John (1924-1976) was a son of John Macleod and Catherine Maclean, 19b Brue. The family moved to the new house on 24a Brue c1948.
He married Catherine Maclean, Bridge Cottage, Brue. John and Catherine lived at Bridge Cottage and raised a family of two sons and six daughters there.
John died at Bridge Cottage aged 53.
