119230: Gazetteer for Scotland

The Gazetteer for Scotland is an online geographical encyclopaedia covering the whole of Scotland. In addition to geographical sites it includes biographical and historical information. Entries are interlinked and the database also includes the text of Groome’s 19th century Ordnance Gazetteer of Scotland.

The Gazetteer incorporates user-generated feedback, and has been developed by the School of Geosciences of the University of Edinburgh and the Royal Scottish Geographical Society.
