PATH TO AIRD UIG – A letter from Alexander Mackenzie and others residing at Aird Uig, was submitted intimating that they have resolved to pay no more road taxes until definite steps have been taken to widen the path to the village, so that it may be used for vehicular traffic.
The Chairman stated that the application for a grant for widening of the path referred to, is at present before the Board of Agriculture for Scotland. The hope was expressed that any hasty action on the part of the people would not delay matters still further.
