19932: 50 Balallan

Angus, son of Malcolm Smith, 60 Balallan (Old) became the tenant of 50 Balallan. Malcolm’s daughter Margaret (1849-1925) settled on the croft but returned to her husband’s home at 35 Balallan in 1886. Angus’s other daughter Annie (1857-1907) lived on the croft with her family and the tenancy went to her son Roderick (1894-1971).
