Finlay Morrison
Finlay, born 1805, was the son of Morris Morrison and Peggy Johnson of Ardmaree. In 1827 he married Effie MacAulay of Claddach Kirkibost. Together they were to have eight children. Finlay, renowned for his strength, was a farmer in Ruisgarry. In 1848, three years after the re-organisation of the crofts in Ruisgarry, Finlay and his family emigrated to Louisburg, Cape Breton. He passed away in Catalone, where he was buried.
