Chirsty, born 1823, was the daughter of Murdo MacLeod and Catherine MacLeod of Ruisgarry. The family lived in Ruisgarry until 1845 when, with the re-organisation of its many small crofts into larger ones, the family was moved to 3 Meavaig South. Chirsty married Norman MacKillop of Ruisgarry and they made their home at 8 Deiraclete. Chirsty was widowed in 1857 and her parents living with her by 1861.
