Malcolm Macdonald

Malcolm (1887-1915) was a son of Alexander Macdonald and Isabella Macdonald, 1 Habost. In the 1890s the family moved to 9 Habost.

Malcolm was a sergeant with the Cameron Highlanders. He served in the Army for 6 years, first in India before coming to the Western Front where he was killed in action in Belgium on 8th May 1915, aged 28.

His name is commemorated on the Menin Gate, Ypres, Pairc War Memorial and Lewis War Memorial, Stornoway
