Murdo Macrae (born 1887) was a son of John Macrae and Isabella Montgomery, 5 Habost.

He served as a Sergeant Major with the Highland Light Infanty during the First World War and is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.

Murdo married and was a teacher in Glasgow. He and his wife had two of a family.
