35907: Murdo Macdonald
Murchadh Dhòmhnaill Dhòmhnaill
Murdo (1884-1967) was a son of Donald Macdonald and Christina Macmillan, 6 Kershader. He emigrated to Canada before the First World War.
When he went out to Canada he was engaged to Johanna Nicolson. After hearing nothing from him for four years she received a engagement ring through the post, but by then she thought Murdo had given her up and was already married to his brother Roddy. The relationship between the brothers was strained for a few years but eventually they made up.
Murdo settled at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada and died in 1967. He never married.
