Ann, born c1762, was a daughter of Neil and Mary nee Macdonald. She was married to Donald Buchanan and lived in Kirkibost before it was cleared in the early 1820s.

She is enumerated at "Aird Callanish" in 1841, aged 75 [i.e., within the age range 75-79], in a household headed by her son Neil - in 1851 she is living in Barraglom with her son John and his family.
