Archibald (1830-1914) was the son of Donald Carmichael and Janet Macleod, 5 Balallan.
In the 1840s the family emigrated to Canada and settled in Tarbert, Cape Breton.
He married Sarah Macleod. They settled in Cape Breton and he is buried at Pinehill Cemetery, Englishtown Ferry, Cape Breton.
