Donald  (born1889)  was a son of John and Annabella Macleod, 1a Garyvard.

He emigrated to Canada and served in the 131st Westminster Battalion of the  Canadian Expeditionary Force, Service Number 790588, in the First World War. His record indicates that he was 5ft 5¼ in tall, with curly brown hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. He served in France from February 1916 until September 1916 when he was admitted to hospital in Canada. Donald is mentioned in Loyal Lewis: Roll of Honour 1914-1918.  His next of kin was a Miss Macleod, 561, 21st Avenue West, Vancouver.

Donald died in Canada in the 1940s.
