Isabella (1825-1879) was a daughter of Alexander Macdonald and Annabella Mackenzie, 11 Old Orinsay.
Orinsay was cleared in 1843 and the family moved to 4 Steinish, Stornoway.
In Stornoway, in 1854, she married Malcolm Maciver, 7 Steinish. Isabella and Malcolm settled at 12 Steinish and they had at least four children.
Isabella’s brother Duncan married Malcolm’s sister Catherine.
