Finlay (born 1922) was a son of Norman Macdonald and Marion Macdonald of 11 Kirkibost. Finlay bought 23 Kirkibost from Reverend John Macnaughton. In 2004 he sold the croft.

Finlay married twice; he did not have any children. His first wife was Mina Macleod; Mina's nephew, Donald Angus Morrison, lived with the couple after the death of his adoptive parents.
