Murchadh Ruairidh
Murdo (1817-1897) was a son of Roderick Morrison and Catherine Smith, 19 Old Gravir.
In Lochs, in 1844, he married Christina Macritchie, 10 Old Gravir. Murdo and Christina settled at 19 Old Gravir where they had four of their seven children. In the 1852 lotting the family moved to a croft in Gravir before their move to Lemreway in 1857.
Tradition relates that Murdo came to Lemreway to work for Louis Nicolson, 19 Lemreway. Subsequently, a new croft was created for Murdo by setting aside a narrow strip from the side of Louis's croft No 19. The family moved to the new croft, 18 Lemreway in 1857.
