Peter, born 1780, was the son of John MacCusbic. In 1818 they were co-tenants of a croft in Borve, paying annual rent of £11. Peter had recently married Effie MacLean, with whom he was to have at least five children. By 1830 Peter and Effie had moved to Ruisgarry, paying £5.10s for their croft. In 1845, when Ruisgarry’s many small crofts were re-organised into larger plots, the family was moved to 1b Urgha.
