91366: Margaret Maciver

Margaret (1821-1903) was the daughter of Donald Maciver and Catherine Campbell. She was born in Lower Barvas.

At some point the family settled at 20 Upper Barvas.

Margaret married Angus Murray, of 2 Old Glen Tolsta, and the couple settled at 2 Old Glen Tolsta and had one daughter.

In 1842 Old Glen Tolsta was cleared and the couple obtained 29a Old South Tolsta, where they had a further three children.

In the 1851 croft relottings the family obtained 11 North Tolsta and they had one child there before emigrating to Huron Township, Bruce County, Ontario in 1853. In total the couple had eight children: six girls and two boys.

She died in Huron Township in 1903 and was buried in Kincardine Cemetery, Bruce County.
