95121: Mary Macdonald

Mary Macdonald (born 1810), of Ness, married Donald Martin. It is not known where the couple spent their early marriage and had their first three children, the first two of whom were born in 1825.

In 1830, when Old North Tolsta was newly lotted, the family obtained 13 Old North Tolsta. The couple had a further four children; their last child was born in 1841.

Mary was widowed around 1840; she went on to marry Alexander Murray, of 15 Old South Tolsta. The couple settled at 13 Old North Tolsta and had two children between 1846 and 1848.

In 1853 the family emigrated to Huron, Bruce County, Ontario.
