The MV Empire Waterhen was built by Oscar Daniels Shipbuilding Co, in Tampa, Florida as MV Manitee. She was purchased by the Ministry of War Transport in 1941 and served in the Second World War. MV Empire Waterhen was scrapped in 1948.
