104667: 40 Upper Carloway

Donald Macleod (1800-1835) was the first tenant of this croft. In the 1850s, his son Alexander exchanged this croft with Donald Macneil, 4 Park Carloway. The croft was then passed to Kenneth Ross (Catechist); then to Donald Macaulay, 15/17 Upper Carloway; to his brother John Macaulay, 17 Upper Carloway, to his son Malcolm who in turn, passed the croft to his brother Peter Macaulay.
