21 Tolastadh a Chaolais

Norman Macleod (b1816), 4 Tolstadh Chaolais was a tenant of 21 Tolsta Chaolais until 1851 when he emigrated with most of his family to an unknown location.  He was married to Catherine Macleod from Dalmore and they had two sons and three daughters.

The croft passed to Donald Macleod, who also had 20 Tolsta Chaolais.  It was then passed to Donald’s son-in-law Donald Martin (1822-1904) and then to Kenneth Martin (b1858).

The croft was sold to John Macdonald, 11 Kirkibost but he did not live on the croft.  It was then later sold to John Macleod, 19 Tolsta Chaolais.
