67218: 20 Tolsta Chaolais

John Macleod (b1815) from 4 Doune Carloway was a tenant of this croft until the family emigrated to Bruce County in 1851.  The croft passed to Donald Macleod (1771-1858), Scapraid and to his son Angus (1826-1901).  In the 1870s, Angus lost the croft and became a cottar for a time at 13 Tolsta Chaolais before obtaining a part of the croft which became 13a Tolsta Chaolais.

The croft passed to John Mackay (b1839), 2 Kirvick and to his son Angus (b1874).  Angus was unmarried and the croft passed to cousin Isabella Mackay, 2 Kirvick.
