67357: 3 Ruisgarry (Gearraidh na Creadha)

3 Ruisgarry was created in the 1850 relotting of Ruisgarry by the Harris Estate. The area it lies within is known as Gearraidh na Crèadha, meaning ‘pastureland of the clay’. The croft was lotted to Malcolm Munro in 1850. Following his death in 1879 it passed to son Peter Munro and in due course to his grand-niece Catherine Munro.

It was later passed to Catherine’s second cousin Roderick MacLeod and combined with his croft at 1/2 Ruisgarry (Sandhill).
