103886: 21a North Tolsta
21a Tolastadh bho Thuath
21a North Tolsta was created, in 1864, when 21 North Tolsta was split into two crofts following the death of Christina Macleod.
The first Tenant was Duncan Martin, a cottar from 21 North Tolsta prior to the croft being split. In due course 21a North Tolsta passed to his youngest son, Donald.
Donald Martin never married and he left 21a North Tolsta to his grandnephew, John Murdo Martin.
John Murdo Martin was already settled at 34 North Street, Sandwick, so he sold 21a North Tolsta to John Murray of 21b North Tolsta.
John Murray then re-merged the crofts back to 21 North Tolsta.
Kenneth Martin, the son of Duncan was a cottar at 21a North Tolsta.
