26 Tolastadh bho Thuath

26 North Tolsta was lotted in 1851 and the first tenant was John Nicolson from 16 Old South Tolsta. The family emigrated to Canada.

The next tenant was Donald Maciver from 19/20 Aird Tong. Three of their daughters: Annabella, Jessie and Catherine married and became cottars at 26 North Tolsta. In due course the croft was passed to his youngest son, Malcolm.

Malcolm Maciver passed 26 North Tolsta to his son, Andrew and in due course passed the croft to his eldest son, Andrew.
 

Cottars

Annabella Maciver married Alexander Campbell 2a North Tolsta and they were cottars at 26 North Tolsta and later obtained 7 North Tolsta.

Jessie Maciver married Alexander Macintosh from Tiree and they were cottars at  26 North Tolsta.

Catherine Maciver married Donald Mackenzie, 48 North Tolsta and they were cottars at 26 North Tolsta. The couple obtained 73 North Tolsta, as a newly lotted croft, in 1874.
